Book 4

Achievers' Mathematics Book 4 provides content that ensures that pupils are able to identify and order numbers up to thousands; find the lowest common multiple and highest common factor of numbers; change fractions to decimals and decimals to fractions; add and subtract whole numbers up to thousands with/without regrouping; solve quantitative aptitude problems involving addition and subtraction of up to four-digit numbers; add and subtract fractions and mixed numbers; give meaningful estimates of sums and differences; multiply whole numbers by up to four-digit numbers; divide whole numbers to up to 3-digit quotients; multiply and divide decimal numbers by up to 2-digit numbers; calculate squares of up to 2-digit numbers and square roots; give meaningful estimates of product of numbers; find missing numbers in open sentences involving multiplication and division; solve quantitative aptitude problems involving multiplication and division.

Book 4 contents will also equip pupils with knowledge needed to construct algebraic expressions from word phrases; construct algebraic equations from expressions; solve every day problems related to algebraic expressions and equations; read, draw and interpret lines, rays and angles; calculate areas of two-dimensional figures and volumes of three-dimensional figures; measure length, capacity, mass and temperature; draw and interpret statistical plots.

Books 5 and 6

Primary 5 and 6 classes are the terminal classes in primary schools in Nigeria, from where pupils leave to secondary schools. Achievers' Mathematics Books 5 and 6 prepare pupils to perform excellently in entrance examinations that will qualify them for enrolment to secondary schools across Nigeria.
